The White Tiger
The White Tiger represents the ideal that martial artists expire too. The tiger is the king of beasts and represents all that is great and terrible in nature. It possesses the physical qualities that martial artists aspire to such as strength, agility and speed. The colour white represents purity and oneness, this means the White Tiger possesses these qualities and has no conflict within itself, while its blue eyes show that it also possesses wisdom and spiritual strength. Together these virtues combine to make the White Tiger the ideal expression of martial arts.
A tiger’s stripes are also unique to the individual, which represents that no two martial artists’ journeys are the same.

The Tiger jumping through the flames represents overcoming adversity. The flame represents the negative qualities within us that can hold us back. The tiger jumping through the fire represents how it has overcome these difficulties allowing it to take the positive qualities of the fire to become the ideal martial artist.
The Serpent
The serpent circling the badge devouring its own tail is a symbol of continuity. This relates to how there is always more to learn in martial arts. The serpent’s eyes are green to represent this everlasting cycle.
