City-Bay Fun Run 2009 Report

On 20 September this year, the first ever BMA team participated in the City-Bay Fun Run.
The team consisted of over 50 BMA members and friends who all braved an early start and physical challenge to reach Glenelg.
The Bushido team ran in BMA team shirts and met at Wigley Reserve for a well earned BBQ breakfast after the run. There were some very good times achieved, with Conor Duggan the fastest 12k runner finishing in 56 minutes. Mention should also go to Carina Macolino who proved her determination by completing the entire 3km event doing the kick routine!
Thank you to Renee Romeo, Sally and Kim Hebenstreit for cooking the BBQ breakfast, to Aaron Mayne for providing fruit, to Josh Pugh for administrative help and also to Ross Savas of the Corner Deli at the Central Market for generously providing the bacon and eggs.
The day was a huge success thanks to our great team of helpers and the enthusiasm from all participants.
