Hot Weather Training Policy

Print

For some time Dojo Instructors have been concerned about training in excessive heat and the safety and welfare of our members.

We have agreed on a Heat Policy which will come into effect immediately.

If the forecast temperature for the next day when a class is to be held is forecast to be 40° or higher, then training for that day will be cancelled.

Members missing a class due to heat related cancellation will be issued with a Make-Up card to catch up the missed lesson at any of our Dojos.

Classes conducted in temperatures between 35° and 39° will be modified accordingly so as not to cause heat related stress to members participating in those classes.

A cancellation notice will be displayed on this website for those days forecast to be 40° or higher.

If you have any questions please speak to your Dojo Instructor.

When training in hot conditions, members are reminded to consume adequate quantities of water to prevent dehydration, even if you don't feel thirsty.
